Well first of all BArthez is horrible and Coupet is not much better, when compared to Buffon. Although I am Italian Pirlo is an excellent footballer and is better than PIRLO. But the French team is hand cuffed if Zidane is handcuffed. Meaning if the Italians can tie up Zizu with great defense they will be shut down. Zidane is the genral and they look for him on every ball. Without his direction the players dont even know which direction to run. Hence he is the coach noit Domenech. However the Italians have several weapons and do not look at one general.
Cannavaro from defense, Zambrotta and Pirlo and midfield, Del Piero when he is in the game can all take the role of a play maker and difference maker.

First one is hard but Barthez, though he definitely needs to clean up those untidy saves. And Zizou, of course, unless Gattuso manages to totally smother him.
