Country...BY FAR. You need to listen to both to understand though. Country has heart and is about REAL life. Punk is mostly about drugs, and hate. If you REALLY listen to both you can easily see that. The old stereotype that Country music is all about crying in your beer, isn't the case so much anymore. Most of the songs are about love and just real life. Here are a few songs to listen to just to see what I mean: Brooks and Dunn "Belive" Brad Paisley "The World" and Andy Griggs "She Thinks She Needs Me." You can't find that kind of heart in ANY other type of music.
Now, if all you care about is the beat, then go with Punk, but if you really want to LISTEN to your music. Go with Country. It will NEVER steer you wrong.
And trust me, it's not just for white trash, like I've seen answered. I believe that Punk is more for the trash, but, I have no right to even say that, because your taste in music is just an opinion, and NO ONES opinion is either right or wrong. And you know what? Go ahead and like both if that is what you want. I'm not here to tell you which is right or wrong. Just compare them to eachother, and really listen to the lyrics of the songs. I believe you will see what I mean.

I would say country music is 100 percent better then punk...But then again I dont like punk at all
