In wich class and school type does a 16 year old student go?
and what are you going through in math?

a 16 year old would be in High School.
They would be taking Algebra 2 or Calc or Geomotry depending on the school district and what level of learning they've achived so far in Math (Some HS let you pick which maths you want to take, while other have a set standard).

When I was 16 I was a junior in high school, 11th grade. The math class varies depending on the individual skill level of the student. I was taking calculus.

They go to High School, usually 10th or 11th grade. And they take either Geometry, or an intermediate Algebra class.

at 16 you should be in the 10th grade learning geometry and algebra.
