it is called "Visquene" it lets water through, keeps weeds at bay and by keeping the strawberries away from the soil, the fruits are a lot cleaner.

I think it may be called fleece, it lets water and sunlight through whilst preventing the fruit touching the ground and stops weeds coming up

you can use a good quality weed block, as it lets water through and stops weeds growing
