My family wants to take my brother out for his birthday. It comes out the same day as the new Pirates movie. Since the only showings that day are at midnight, we were thinking about the following day. We have no problem ordering tickets, etc. but the only thing I am concerned about is seating. We have a large family (7 people), and we would like to allow my brother to bring 2 friends (my brother is turning 11, but has seen the other Pirate movie, and we don't care if it is rated PG-13). I am sure the day we want to go is going to be filled with people, so I was thinking that I should go (with my father or something) and save some seats for us to sit in. I am worried that this is a lot of seats to save, and I do not want to upset people. I don't know what would be right, I mean it is only our immediate family and two of my younger brother's friends, and it is his birthday. He does not know we are planning on a movie anyways. What should we do?

Try talking to the owners of the theater and reserve seats. I'm pretty sure they won't mind.

I think if you go ahead and save seats, it'll work out fine. If you're worried about people complaining that you're hogging too many seats, then talk to the theatre staff about your situation. I'm sure that they will help you out.

Also, if you explain to people that it's your younger brother's birthday, then they will understand. Besides that, the theatre staff only sells enough tickets for the showings, so there will be other seats in the theatre for people to sit in. At least they're seeing the movie, rather than missing it just because they didn't get the seat they wanted.

I think the whole clan should show up early to the movie & wait in line. That way your 1st in line & 1st to be seated, then a couple of you can go out & buy snacks. Buy your tickets the day before so all you have to do is just get into the theater. You'll also get the best seating this way.

Are you asking if you should save seats? One person saving 7 seats in a crowded movie theater isn't a good idea, that movie will be packed.

Yeah PG-13 means you shouldn't see it if you're under 13 UNLESS you have parents or somebody of age with you. Since your whole family is going, it's okay. To find seats just go really early!!

Just reserve the seats with your father, and forget about other people. Why should they be upset if you got there first.
