Death is not at all final,we have life in eternity.Christ died for our sins and He rose again so that we can live with Him.Bible is very clear about that.
I would also say that even the body wont be completely destroyed.Once buried, the body sees decay.Bible says "from dust you came to dust you will return"Now think our body becomes dust and dust remains in earth.
But i don't say that we'd regain our physical body after death.
And I'm not talking about reincarnation also cause i don't believe in that.
I hope this would to an extent satisfy your quest.

Ok first of all nothing is final, never set in stone, if we live now then there is something beyond, but we may not be just our souls or minds but of one soul and mind. I'm going to sound like a nerd here, but if you've ever watched Star Wars Episode III you would've heard Obi Wan say that there are no absolutes. The truth of the matter is that you can't just talk about this one subject many other things factor in. But death is merely the end of one thing and the beginning of another. Taoists believe that life goes on infinitely, ever repeating itself, so we must suppose that there is some truth in life after death.

i dont think it's a stupid question at all, it's very deep.

(though badly worded)

i believe death is final and yet it is only the beginning. what i mean by this is that yes you do die from this life once. but there is life after death. and what we do here will determine what will become of us after this life.

i wont evangelize to you but i believe it is all withint the scriptures and if you ever need answers that is the best place to look.

i suppose you cant know, and that is why it is called faith. :)
Blessings!

For you and your body death is final.

For your spirit, it can live on.

Aristotle defined the soul as the function of the form (form = body). So, the soul of a plant is photosynthesis, swaying in the breeze, etc. The soul of a human is seeing, feeling, tasting, hearing, loving , pondering, locomotion, reproduction, etc.

When the form dies, the functions of the form cease. Therefore, body and soul die.

What is your spirit and how does it live on? Your spirit is your soul (the functions of your form during your life) in another form or memory. Your spirit could be your offspring, a novel you wrote, a painting you painted, a house you built, etc. Your spirit is also alive in the memories of those who knew you. THESE are your only afterlife.

It is not a stupid question just because you don't know the answer. It is the most obsessive question of mankind and all religions try to answer but fail to convince everybody.I believe death is final for this life but also beginning of another form of life.

When death comes a person just gets relief,, LIKE YOU GET RELIEF WHEN YOU FALL INTO DEEP SLEEP.
It is not finally ..
.as death is a passage or a door through which we inter into different dimension, which may be more real world then this life ;and in comparison this life may be just a dream.. as A SIMILE...... in our dreams we feel the real world........ALL THE ABOVE STATEMENT IS PHILOSOPHICAL AND METAPHYSICAL WISH -FULL THINKING OF THE SPIRITUAL PEOPLE ,
IS DEATH FINALLY..... GOD ONLY KNOWS.

Do u mean, is death "final?" Meaning, the final step for all of us to take in life?

If that's what you mean, I don't think it is. You're physical body may be dead, but your spirit still lives on....What happens to your spirit after death? Sorry, to me it remains a mystery....

a lot of us may believe that death is final. But to me it's not. There's heaven and hell. You could spend eternity in hell burning which is worse than death itself. Or be in heaven living for eternity which is better than death and life.

For those who do not believe in God, and the after life He promised, death represent the END.In actuality, it is not, because no human can know the mind of God.
