I need to find somebody in Mexico. My fiance's grandfather is an American citizen and he retired to Mexico b/c of cheaper living. He has diabetes and had one leg amputated in Mexico. He came to visit for Christmas and his other foot was badly burned b/c he kept by a heater way too long (he couldn't feel it b/c of poor blood circulation caused by the diabetes). We begged him to see a doctor in America but he is hard-headed and said its cheaper in Mexico. When he got back, he called us every week like he always did and all of a sudden his calls stopped in March. Not only that, his bank statements come to our house and I looked at them. The only activity on the account is the automatic deposits from his retirement. He hasn't had any activity since the time he stopped calling. He sent us something a long time ago and gave us his address, but when we write there it comes back as a bad address. I e-mailed the Mexican Consulate and have rec'd no response. Can anybody please help?

your best bet is either to go there yourselves, or hire someone to go.

Its almost impossible to get mail to and from mexico, let alone communicate with people down there.

What area was he living in? Is it possible for you to contact a local mission or hospital for help?

Call the American consulate in Mexico.
Call your congressional representative for information on what to do! The Red Cross might be able to help.(not sure)
