What does the little butterfly feelings you are suppose to feel when you are pregnant feel like?

when i first started feeling my son in there i wasn't aware that i was feeling him....i thought it was gas:)
i was talking to a friend of mine and she told me the same thing, then that day driving home from work i thought i had some gas pains, but in reality once i focused on the feeling, i realized i was feeling little movements in there.
they feel like little stirrings in your lower abdomen.
at least that's what mine felt like.
i felt them most when i was driving home from work and at night when i laid down to sleep.
it's neat once you realize that's what you're feeling!
the only people who have told me they felt like gas pains were having boys, though and that's what i'm having....a friend of mine has had 2 girls and she said it didn't feel like that for her...so, i guess it's like everything else in pregnancy..everyone's different.

you mean when the baby moves? They start out feeling like gas rumbles. Towards the end of the pregnancy they start to feel like someone pushing on your stomach except it's from the inside out.
edit: you'll feel them really low in your belly at first and then all over as the baby grows.

They actually feel like butterflies moving around in there. I experienced them for the first few times when trying to go to sleep. And yes, they are in your stomach.

Mine were below the belly button. Kind of like the gurgles you can get after you eat a meal...but lower. Usually they are bubbly and tickle at first and you might think it was something you ate, until you keep getting them. Not all day every day, sometimes just a few times a week...then more and more until you get the first "knock" from inside...like someone is knocking a door...that is way cool!

In the beginning they just felt like gas rumbling around...then I used to swear my baby was trying to pull my belly button in, I would be the weirdest feeling.
Sometimes towards the end you can tell what's what....where is the head...where is a knee...or a foot...and when they use your bladder like a trampoline on an episode of JackAss...it's quite ....
weird...LOL

The butterfly feeling is when the baby is starting to kick you. If you're not paying attention, it feels like your stomach is growling, only not where your stomach is.

Kinda like when your Stomach rolls when you go over a hill. It makes you feel a lil weird in the tummy.
