Oh I hope not!!! They have remade a lot of old movies and they have rarely done justice to any of them. I hope they will leave those including Gone with the wind and Cassablanca alone. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

No they shouldn't. I believe that they cannot capture the full essence of a movie in a remake. Some remakes lose the story in general and you forget where the movie is actually going or trying to get to.

Take for instance, An Affair to Remember with Deborah Kerr - Warren Beatty and his wife, made a remake of the movie and it was awful. The remake of the Amityville Horror was awful until the end when it became a bit interesting.

However, some remakes such as A Star is Born starring Judy Garland was fantastic.

There has been remakes of wizard of oz and they sucked. If they do a remake of It's a Wonderful Life, it probably wouldn't be all that great either. There are some classics you just don't touch.

No me and my children LOVE wizard of oz just the way it is!!!

I really think these movies would lose some of their old time good feeling if they were remade...

They have actually made a couple other Wizard of Oz...like Muppet's and stuff. And they are OK. But to redo the entire movie it just wouldn't be the same. Some things are better left alone.

If a producer can make money from a remake then he should do it. If he can make money then that impiles there is a market for it and enough people will value it so that the remake will add to the economy and to society.

My personal opinion is don't mess with perfection. The recent remake of The Pink Panther was not very good. I can't imagine why they tried to improve on Peter Seller's version.

No ever since they remade Charlie and the Chocolate factory i don't have faith in remakes. If the originals are so good, why do they think they can make it better?

NO! The Wizard of Oz is my favorite movie of all time, and if someone remade it and god forbid it sucked, I would be so mad. Even "The Wiz" ruined it for me.
