I remember seeing this as a very small child and I hated it and fussed so much that the management had my Mom and I leave. Anyone else hate that movie and "The Sound of Music"?

Speaking as a parent, I sooo didn't like Mary Poppins. What a horrible nanny!!! How many times did that woman go against the wishes of the parents? Not to mention the danger she put the children in. Ugh.

I actually loved both movies.
While Mary Poppins, is one of my all time favs, the Sound of Music did a great job of telling the story of the Von Trapps in a disney sort of way. Of course there is more to that story, but it would not have made a happy musical.

My daughter loves it. I, on the other hand, could take it or leave it. Not one of my all time favs. :)
