I am going to say that you are NOT born with teeth. Like you said, the teeth develope later.

Sorry folks, the tooth buds are there at birth they just have to finish developing and erupt through the gums. Knee caps are also there and as for cartilage that is just bone in another form so it's there too.

The Xiphoid process on the tip of the sternum, is cartilage and hardens and becomes a bone as you age.
