This is going to sound silly, but all you need to do is study and do your assignments. If you're having trouble, go to your teacher for some extra help. And, most teachers I know will give you a few extra points for always doing your homework on time.

First, make sure you are always listening carefully to what the teacher is trying to tell you. If you don't understand, ask the teacher after class and explain to him/her what the problem is. I'm sure your teacher(s) would be willing to help you. Make sure you are always trying your best too. I know sometimes school can get boring or so tough you don't even want to try that hard, but the determination and hard work will most certainly pay off some day.

Another thing you could do is join some after school activities that assist students that need some extra help (such as math clubs, study groups, Literature programs etc.)

As far as marks in math are concerned, alot of rational systematic study is required.
may be you can hire a tutor or on line tutor to teach you after school hours.

Do your homework, study for tests and quizzes... Study in general, actually. You're supposed to study an hour for every hour of class you have. So for example, I have four hours of Psychology a week, so I'm supposed to study four hours outside of class for Psychology.
