the pregancy itself will be punishment enough. LOL

make her do community service or volunteer work or something else she's not getting paid for since she's not old enough to work an actual job yet.

then get her some counseling.

oh and her mother needs to learn to parent better and how to watch her child.

I dont think that the parents of a pregnant-12 years old girl should punsh her. The unwanted pregnancy, and the whole situation this girl is being through is a way of "paying" for the mistake she did. so any other punishment from her parents, whould make her feel worse than she's feeling already, like an idiot, and like she is all alone with not even her parents to support her at this hard moment..... A conversation wich will make her understand why this is wrong, and what her responsibilities will be from now on is enough. Also, she will have lost the trust of her parents... And that could be seen as a punishment...

Being pregnant at 12 years old is always a mistake. Forget punishment and get this girl major counseling about life and what she needs to know. The father must also be known and appropriate counseling as well as legal action for both.
Great sadness that I council that the pregnancy must be terminated. No 12 year old should be giving life to another yet.
Better question is where were the parents? Why was it possible for this child to get pregnant in the first place?

This is not the time for a punishment - - this is the time for support -- and this is the time for education.

BTW: I'm not sure what kind of "mistake" could have caused this - but it looks like SOMEONE is a sexual offender against children (12 is far below the legal age of consent), there is an appropriate punishment for that - consult your local police or your county sheriff's office.

are u saying that u r trying to punish a 12 yr old for getting pregnant i don't understand the question because if that is it isn't having to raise a child being a child punishment enough how about punishing the parent for not better preparing your child for life girls only get pregnant that young for two reasons parents 2 strict and they have rebelled or parents were not strict enough and they have too much freedom either way there is no punishment like life itself

Hey Mama, If your the one who's pregnant..I know that your scared and it is a scary thing but as far as punishment is concern that will be the last thing your parents will be worrying about trust me...My sister was in your boat and I wish you the very best in whatever decsion you make..Just talk to your parents and they will feel disappointed and angry but within time they will be okay and if this is a parent asking this question"WHAT THE HELL U THINKING ABOUT"PUNISHMENT" you have got to be kidding me..You need to worry about what your daughter future and what are her options and school her on birth control...You can only do and say so much but she is going to do, unless you lock her up but your not going to be around her 24/7, talk to her about sex please also STD'S...

Being pregnant and having a baby while still in high school is punishment enough. Besides you don't want your daughter mad at you. Show her empathy and help her so in the future she has the knowledge to make her own good decisions.

i don't think there should be a punishment. parents have to realize that this ain't the 1800's anymore, girls are growing up fast and want to experience new things. now a parent can sit and talk to the child about things like that but if the child doesn't want to listen then let her have the baby so she can see what her parents were trying to tell her all along.

LOL, having the baby and raising it for 18 years isn't punishment enough? If you are going to take here for an abortion, that is also punishment enough. Calm down.

I don't think that punishment is going to solve anything..its ounishment enough being pregnant at 12. I would definatley look into putting that baby up for adoption.
