Adding to the chorus of leaving them UNOPENED in their original box--you might also wrap them up in CLEAN plastic bags and make sure that they are away from sunlight, or moisture.

One more thing---if you are planning on selling them, you might want to log into eBay to check for current prices. Sometimes an action figure's value can bottom out....fickle buyers!

The key to the collection is if YOU enjoy what you're collecting. If you're doing it for the re-sale value--sell them when the market is high. If you're collecting them for you or your kids...stash them away.

Gee...now where did I put my Zena collection...LOL

Absolutely YES!

Take a look on e-bay at the difference in price in a collectible with all of it's original packaging and one without. Sometimes it's worth double, sometimes even more. In addition, the best way to keep that collectible in mint condition is to leave it in its box.

Action figures are always worth much more if they are in the box in fact with the older ones the boxes can be worth more than the actual figures are..... Hope that helps

Yes or they are wortless or not much value. Any collector will tell you that. If you want them to be worth any thing, by all means keep them in the box, don't take them out. They happen to lose some value when taken out of the box.

placed them on some floating cabinets. you may also body & mat some pop-paintings p.c.. or posters that flatter the last decade a variety of of the action figures are from, and turn the series right into a unfashionable-paintings accent wall. in case you dangle the floating cabinets themselves in a funky progression on the wall, which could seem cool, and make the shelving itself wall paintings. you should get get 9 cabinets, 3 lengthy, 3 medium, 3 short, and stack them to make 3 triangles, the triangle in the middle pointing up, and a triangle on both area pointing down, or you should merely stack them cabinets in a staggered progression.

Yes - once opened their value diminishes drastically. Wish I knew that prior to opening all mine.... :(

Also, the condition of the packaging makes a difference as well. Keep them as close to mint condition as possible. I recommend boxing them up, although it makes it tough to enjoy them in a box...

If you are collecting them for the possible resale of them sometime in the future for a higher price, then yes, you definately should.
