Yes. I banked my first born child cordblood.I did it through Cord Blood Registry. www.cordblood.com I think the pricing has gone up since 2003 but the processing and baking fee from the time I gave birth was 1675.00 and my annual storeage fee is 115.00. It was going to be cheaper then that like 1475.00 but may baby was born like five days before due date so it was extra so they could have someone ready to get the blood. I hope this is good information. and congratulations on your pregnancy.

The initial cost is about $1000. Plus a monthly fee of anywhere from $10- $60. There are places you can donate to, and if you ever need it they will match you with the correct stem cells for a fraction of the cost. And that way if you or your family doesn't end up using it, someone will still benefit.

check with your OBGYN and the hospital you're planning on delivering at. I was going to donate when I had my daughter but our hospital didn't do it yet. I've heard it is expensive and carries a monthly fee to bank it. Your OBGYN should have better and more local information for you.
