There are different forms of greatness in the world. You could be the richest, the smartest, the strongest, etc. Those are forms of physical successes. On the other end of the spectrum, you could be the most amazing parent, son/daughter, friend in the world. So, if you could pick one form of greatness, which would it be and why?

In Matthew 18: 1-5, the disciples of Jesus asked who was the greatest. Jesus said that one who welcomes a little child in Jesus' name is the greatest. Those who welcome and serve the most vulnerable of our society, in Jesus' name, is the greatest. As a father of five growing children, I often wonder what I consider great about them. What if they made a lot of money? What if they had great degrees and job titles? These are fine, but I came to the conclusion that the one who knows how to love God and love others and is very humble and truthful and kind and serving would be the greatest among them, even if they had a low income at a humble job. This is the truth.

If I could be the greatest at something, I would want to be the most loving person in the world. Without love, the riches, knowledge, or physical strength someone could achieve mean nothing.

I would want to be the absolute best person at giving advice to people. I'd love to be able to read a person so well that I knew immediately what they really wanted in their life and how to help them achieve it.

First - I could help millions of people, and, second - I could actually make a living at it as well. What could be better than a job where you make people's lives better every day?
