In my own experience I think that guys are not afraid of asking for directions but feel as if by doing just that would seem less of a person in your eyes. Despite numerous wrong turns and passing by the same place in no way will the guys ask for directions. And if they do it's when finally "stopping for gas or a drink" while you are waiting in the car.

I KNOW that guys are not "afraid" to ask for directions. I have done so, but only when I have run out of options. It is not that men are afraid of asking for directions, it is that we may search a little longer to find the street, house, etc. that we are looking for. Many men don't like to give up so quickly, so they go a little further until all else fails. There is nothing wrong with that, so please don't hate anyone who keeps trying.

Some guys are, some arent. If I am truly lost- which is darn rare- then I definately will stop and ask (or will consult my road atlas that I carry in my car). But whenever Im going somewhere that I dont know where it is, I almost always Mapquest it, so its not a problem.

I dont think it is the directions it is the fact that a man thinks he knows everything...They never want help but always need it...
