It's safe. As long as you don't put your full name, telephone number, address, etc.
You're the one who puts your life in jeopardy by doing stupid things.

Yes, somebody may recognize you from myspace, but I doubt they'd walk up to you.

If you're the one doing stupid things, it's your own fault.

And if you're too worried about your picture being up, don't put one of yourself.

I don't believe that a picture is unsafe itself, it's the combination of all the information about yourself given out together that's unsafe. Look at it this way, if you say where you live, thats unsafe, if you don't then you're ok. It's just a matter of common sense how much you share and how much you keep private. Another suggestion, only accept people you know.

I have my photos on there and of my children I think it can be very unsafe if your talking to someone to date or trying to make friends with opposite sex cause you dont know who u are speaking to and with your picture you can be traced easily as well as your real ame and town u live in, I do think if your under 17 you shuld not have pictures on my space.

No! It is not unsafe, but please be careful before giving your personal details to anyone on myspace.
You can also block your pic so that only your friends can see it.

It is if your doing something bad in the picture and your parents see it. Just ask my 16yr old who got busted for his pics.

It can be.

Quite simply, a picture is exactly who you are. A person could pick you out of a crowd, etc.
