I noticed that there are 8 African born players on the French team and 6 more immigrants. France also has been known to hold rallies against both of these minority groups. There are millions of black peolple living in France, but when they show the French fans on TV, I am yet to see a single black person.
Your thoughts?
I am Italian and I am not black. I am just curious.

I am Italian too, and of course I'm cheering for Italy on Sunday. But I have been to France several times and have some French friends -- some of them like the players on the French team, naturalized immigrants, or children of immigrants. They are French though. So, it's ok for those players to play on the French national team.
As for the fans you have seen on TV, I don't have an answer. Maybe they just showed the white people, or there were more white people in the stadium.

It should be pointed out that those who hold rallies against minority ethnic groups in France are themselves a minority..there are racists everywhere in every nation on earth.

Just because a tiny group of racist bigots have a rally doesnt mean they are in any way representative of the majority of French people who are extremely proud of their players and what they have achieved. Is italy free of racists? I dont think so.

whats the wuestion, why there are no black fans? Well, iim by no means a racist, but it could be that immigrants have little money, and so making a trip to germany for the world cup was beyond their means.
