scattered showers are showers that occur all over the place, but not frequently...only once in a while, where as an isolated shower happens more frequently, but only in one area, such as the mountains. Angel, it's great to see an intelligent question being asked here.

Isolated- meaning that the showers are small and can hit a town 12 miles away form you, but not you, they are 'isolated' 'alone' niot part of a squall line, or mass of showers.
scattered- meaning several spotty showers over an area. you have a much better chance of rain with this forcast. Because the storms dont just pop up here and there (isolated) they form many smaller showers that scatter over a larger area.

Isolated means the showers aren't going to be widespread. So for example, it might not rain in your neighbourhood but it could be raining in the next neighbourhood over. Scattered showers means there are several storm cells travelling across your city. This means the showers are scattered and random and could be occuring anywhere or everywhere.

Isolated in very few places...Scattered in more places happening than it being isolated..then there is widely scattered, a more common occurance...this all depends on the % chance of rain too..
Anything above 50, it's a good chance of storms..Like right now, it's raining and thundering..

Scattered means not integrated over the whole area where as isolated means focussed at one place.

Scattered = little showers all across an area.
Isolated = a little pocket shower in one or two small places.

isolated is 20% or below ---- scattered is 30% to ~60%

isolated means only in one spot. scattered means everywhere, but not all at once.
