I am going to go WAY back and say PAC MAN.......
He ate himself to near exhaustion, was contently being pursued by ghosts, & didn't complain when he found himself going in circles all that and he had to keep the Mrs. happy. He also has a good 5 years experience on the Nintendo Heros like Mario....and everyone else.
If you had to pick a hero....pick one who was a launchpad for the creators of todays heroes.

Well that's someone's opinion, but i would say the best :Heroes" are....
Mario, Link, Donkey Kong, Samus, and hmmm... Fox (The originals I know)

well certainly none of the characters you listed! i would say that the best video game hero is either link, mario, or samus.

i have to say sora fromkh1 and kh2 as well as rayu and the veary old jumpman or aka mario as well as link nes from a veryold game he save earth from aleins his moves are pk fire pk thunder and pk flash
