Good question and there is a answer.

Everything you are aware of exists both in the past, future and present at the same time. The essence of who and what we are is inseparable from others, and we are all living in cooperative interconnectedness.

Everything only exists because we exist, and we move toward maintaining our reality of inter-connectedness to others and everything else so that we can protect and be present at ourselves.

It is the concept of self as a separate being, however, from everybody else that is really a non-existence. We are not isolated.

Without our ability to be in several places at the same time, our ability to do what we call imagine and remember, or our need to break time into pieces we call present, future and past, we would be absent in isolation.

In that case the table would never have existed. But the table does exist, you and I and all the people on Answers exist and, finally, for me, typing here at this moment exists partially because of you.

Note: I have this book on Audio Tape, it is expensive but worth it, because, to appreciate it you must listen to it several times and keep it close for reference. It will take awhile to understand the book, but I am still learning, and I am content to be learning.

Yes, the table does still exist, unless you were dreaming about being in the room with the table. It will be pretty scary if you peek around the corner and the table is gone! (You may not exist, or maybe someone has moved it)

If you're talking about a hypothetical table, the question is, has it ever existed?

If you mean that table in the room behind you. It's still there or the goldfish bowl would be in pieces on the floor...

Yes. If I was to leave the room, however, that would be a different matter, as youj would then not exist either as you would not be present in my life, as you are currently non existent as i dont know who you are. This then makes it impossible for you to leave the room, as neither you nor the room exist. To answer your question, yes it does, but you do not.

Do you still exist when you log off of this site?

Yes, it does. It is an object, and who knows, someone else may enter the room.

It is only your perception of the table's existence that changes.

"Out of sight, out of mind."

Existence is separate from the mind, but "tableness" is a product of the mind. Put THAT in your crackpipe and smoke it! :-)
