I have two 12"+ koi, and one seems to be chasing the other one around a lot and they keep going around in circles. Is this spawning behavior? Will the eggs cloud the water if they lay any? They're living in a 150 gallon pond with 5 other smaller koi around the size of 5" or so.

they could be breeding, it's the right time of year you should be able to see eggs if they are the eggs are about this size "o" and are clear they will be attached to vegetation and sides of pond
a good indicator of spawning is the smaller fish will be chasing after the larger fish to eat the eggs (all goldfish & koi eat their eggs) but many will still survive a female can lay up to 100,000 eggs in a day or two also koi spawn from dawn to midmorning

It could be breeding but it could also just be bullying since your pond is very over stocked. Koi need 250 gallons each minimum, they grow to around 3 feet. If it is breeding the eggs wont cloud the water but the milt (sperm) may.
