I've tried unistalling it and reinstalling it, downloading a new one from DriverGuide.com and i cleaned my registry but the driver still has a yellow exclamation mark with the code 39. I need help...I NEED SOUND!!!

This may happen because of conflict with other hardware component. check for irq's weather u r sound card is conflicting with any other or what's going on. This task can be done by selcecting properties of the sound card from device manager and check it in bios weather sound card is enable dor not :)

How did you reinstall your audio card? If you have the original CD, maybe there is a setup.exe that you can run to install it. Some cards just don't like the bear driver and would need the manufacturer supplied driver in order for it to work. Also try unplugging the sound card from the computer and placing it in another slot, unless it is onboard your motherboard.

I think the driver ur using its very old or damaged . U can try upgrading the driver.

How old is the computer? maybe the sound card is bad.
