The cup is always half full because until you die there is always opportunity for things to get better. The sky's the limit. As soon as you begin to think of the cup as half empty you've limited yourself to a lifetime of depression about how things used to be and what you don't have and what you never expect to have. I expect great things. It gives me a reason to live, things to strive for and joy in being me.

If the cup is half full it is because you have chosen a cup that is too big. Your desires are only half of the cup size.
If the cup is half empty it is because someone or something in your life has drained part of the contents out of the cup. Only you can determine the proper size of your cup and only you can protect the contents from those that would drain it.

It depends on the journey. If you are filling it, it is half full. If you are emptying it, it is half empty. The "Why" Again, it is half full because you are filling it. It is half empty because you are emptying it. If it is simply sitting on a table, it is just a half a cup, neither half full or empty until you decide to continue one of the two processes mentioned above.

it is always a ratio between full and empty, if it is half-full it is also half-empty... I acknowledge this, and chose to focus on the full half :)
If you can't accept it half empty/full, you can always add more water, but if you have no water another way to make a half empty glass full is to cut the top half of the glass off, but you have to have the right tools.
Life is part perspective/attitude and having the right tools, and using the resources one has ;)

If the cup was full to begin with and 1/2 was used or drained out, then it's half empty.
If the cup was only filled to the 1/2 way mark, then it's half full.

Well it's never empty because the half that isn't filled with a liquid is filled with air. Unless you put the cup in a vacuum.

Half full. Making it's way up to full. It use to be half empty for a while, and then someone came along and filled it up, and keeps filling for me. Hope it doesn't overflow, but then again, then it never would be half empty again!

Both - because it is both half empty and half full at the same time.

Anytime you pour something in a cup, your purpose it to empty it, so it's half-empty

Half full because when the cup was filled, it was considered FULL, so if substance is taken away, you should still apply the original catergory (fullness) when describing its new state.
