I saw a documentary yesterday that said we wouldn't be able to see it coming until there was a ball of fire on the horizon. The blast would be equivalent to putting all the nuclear weapons in the world in a big pile and setting them off.

That is assuming that we know where all these weapons of mass destruction are, and that we know how many of them exist.

But supposing we were able to predict that there were 24 hours left, I think it would probably be the most peaceful 24 hours of the world's history because all terrorism and war would cease to have a point (if they do anyway..) people would finally get life the universe and everything into perspective and be with those they love, or be none the wiser as in the case of everyone on the planet who doesn't have access to media...

Define large Comet, please. A large Comet could hit Earth and not result in Humanities destruction. Were it large enough to result in that...than I'd probably just spend the time with family and friends. Otherwise I'd look for ways to continue to survive.

Devise some elaborate scheme with all the brains of the world to destroy the comet involving lazers with the running and the jumping and the kung fu fighting, Mwa-hey.

Since I rarely get news I would spend it just like any other day. If I knew that the comet wat coming then I would probably spend the day hanging out with all of my animals and think about life, etc.

Would I really know it? It's quite hard question. I'd probably say something different beyond I 'd have really done. It's very short time!
Today I would say.... I'd love to spend my last day with my family and friends doing what I like to do with them. Keep fun till end!!!!

Eating fried food and cream cakes, smoking, boozing and having irresponsible and unprotected sex with anyone willing.

Knowing my luck, the comet would then be deflected and miss us!!

I'd jack a space shuttle and fill it full of o2, food, water, and tunes and fly to the moon to watch the show.
