Besides pain relievers, either one specifically for cramps like Pamprim or regular ibuprofen, mild exercise like walking, stretching or yoga. A hot bath or shower helps. This one might sound strange, but it does work. Rub some Vicks Vaporub right where you are feeling the cramps. It basically is the same effect of using a heating pad, but allows you to be mobile so you aren't stuck on the couch all day long.

I have to agree with excersice. I know it's probably the last thing you feel like doing when you have cramps but even if you just get up and walk around and run or just do something it will feel way better than if you sit holding your stomach and groaning... heh... Also try to stay warm and don't walk around bare footed on tile or wood floors or just any cold surface.
Then there's always the quick and easy way- Pain drugs.

You get them to the point where you can hardly do anything without wanting to be on the floor in a ball.. I suggest going to see the doctor. Due to what I use to go through every month I had to be put on the patch. It is much easier then the pill. Best things about it is if you are lucky you hardly have any pain at all, it runs like clockwork so you know the day you will start and the day you end AND for me it only lasts 3 days.. :D

First of all, if you have not been evaluated by a doctor (preferably and GYN) please do so. Pains that are increasing or require pain medications are not normal. It is important not only address to the pain and associated symptoms, but also to address the underlying cause.
If your doctor finds there is nothing medically wrong then some women get relief by taking birth control pills. I have had success with Chinese acupuncture. If you can afford it and can get a good recommendation for an acupuncturist, it will alleviate your suffering.

I think this isn't the right place for the question. Cramps are mainly due to calcium deficiency (my dad is a doc, that's what he tells me when I get cramps). It's best for you to consult an ortho specialist. :)

curling up in bed with a hot water bottle is always nice. if it really hurts paracetamol takes away the pain. or stretching from bending down and touching ur toes and slowly coming up and reaching for the ceiling

drink A LOT of water and take advil or any pain reliever (but not tylenol) I take ibprophen and it works really good. Another good thing to do is just rest... like just lay down for about 10 minutes. good luck!
