I smile at this question b/c I have thought about this for far too long now. I've gone through phases. And pass through them again. Sometimes I feel free. Sometimes I feel complacent. Other times I feel lonely. Sometimes I wonder what life would be like with someone again. Other times, I worry. Sometimes it's routine. Other times it seems like I should be looking for the sake of my children. Especially my daughter. But then,

Mostly, I remember one important thing- I'm right where I need to be- right here with my kids! We need each other so badly right now. I think that is what fills the void- feeling needed. Feeling appreciated. Knowing there's someone I cannot live without. I cannot imagine life without them!

Given up? No way. Meant to be? If it is, then it will be.

Relationships of any kind can be fragile; friendships included. A few poorly thought out words can upset and prompt negative feeling. Often the most small of things can snowball into a destructive force if left unchecked. The problem with having emotions is that we initially have no control over the initial feleing, only of our response to it. These responses are not the best ones; often they are stupid kneejerk things, but it is the fact that we care that really matters... Sometimes it is best to look at things holistically and accept the positives and negatives as being aspects of the same element.... :)

As for your question, I believe that all things happen for a reason; beyond that, I don't really know. I'm singe by choice at the moment. I've never understood people who just need to be in a relationship regardless of who with; for me the whole "dating" thing, is a way to find out what you like and don't like and move towards that pinaccle of at least knowing what it is that you want. It shouldn't be the case that people feel it is wrong to not be in a relationship. But there is no-one in authority that we can look at; I have friends who admire my single life in the same way that I marvel at their domesticity. I don't think it is wise to assume that you are destined to never find that person; that has "Self-fulfilling prophecy" written all over it. I think if a person can learn to become totally at ease with themself and their own desires then the rest will happen organically. Knowing what we want, as opposed to what we think we should want, is vital.

I believe that I am meant to be with someone. I'm not sure about marriage again or even living together, but a long term committed relationship is desireable. I just like having my own house so I don't have to share closet space.

I don't know if there's anyone out there for me or not. I don't mind being single most of the time, but from time to time I go through a phase where I'm constantly thinking that being single sucks! Too bad I'm in one of those phases right now.

I do extremely. I am getting to the point that I'm about to give up. I to think that I'm not meant to be with anyone but just to have fun.

There are those days that surely test ones patience. I'm not about to give up, but dang. To live a day without tryin', is another step closer to dyin' and I'm not ready for that just yet.

Getting there. On both counts, At least right now! Know anyone else who's hurting and may need consoling? I sure could use the company right now.

Yes, but I haven't given up. I've learned to live for myself instead of living to be with someone. Life is short.

nope not at all, I just feel that now is not my time to be with someone and I don't need or want to be with anyone because I know that I am independent and can handle things on my own and dont need to have that significant other to make it through
