I went to 2 interviews exactly 2 weeks ago, they both said they would call me the following week, but none of them have called, one of them did call me to complete a survey but didn't give me an answer.. I want to e-mail them to ask if they are still considering me but I want to sound professional.. what do I write? And because of the holiday I think they might be a little maybe backed up... maybe I should wait?? By the way, I already sent them Thank-you letters. Please help... I REALLY need a job!.. Thanks in advance and have a great day!!

You let too much time go by. At the end of the first week you should have called.

In business, it is common for the person who appears most wanting of the job to actually get the job.

The longer you wait the better chances you have of NOT getting the job. You need to call with in the first week and keep calling and ask if they had made a decision yet on the position you had applied for. Don't leave room for someone else to slip in your position because they showed more interest.

Dont email, that is a cop out, they will be more impressed by you speaking to them, and hearing your voice. Call and speak to the person who interviewed you, not some secretary but the person who saw you. Thank them again for the opportunity to interview for that position, and that is was a pleasure to meet them and learn a little bit about their company. Then just ask them how things are going and if there is any resolution. Be nice and cordial, and not too pushy, just show them you are still interested and want the job enough to call them back...they will be impressed.

you have waited a bit too long, but go a head, call or follow up in person. say you really are interested in this company, and didn't want to miss a great opportunity to work there. You were just wondering if they have filled the position, if they did, ask for the human resource dept to be put on a list for the next availiable one. good luck.

you need to be calling her each day even as the workplace opens as a lot as teach her that you're fairly searching. She likely thinks you fairly do not opt to artwork. even as searching for a job bypass after what you fairly opt to do because you'd be doing it a lengthy time period. Now once you've an pastime in helping human beings you may bypass after a special kind of a job. Irene

Say something like this:

I am writing to follow up on our interview on (date). I continue to be very interested in (title of the position) with (name of the company). Can you let me know the current status of your search? If there is additional information I can provide about my skills, experience or how I can contribute (specifics on job or team here), please do not hesitate to ask.

Sincerely,

You

Don't e-mail..... CALL!!! The holiday may have put them a bit behind however, you need to follow-up quickly. Don't do this by e-mail, pick up the phone!!
