galahad was so pure he only loved in the purest sense of the word according to legend so he never had a physical relationship with any woman. also i read a book a few years ago and the legend was that he was very young when he died and it was because he was too pure for an earthly existence. i dont remember which one it was though.

Galahad bastard son of Sir Lancelot and Elaine of Carbonek. Renowned for his gallantry and purity. After finding the Grail Galahad is taken to heaven in divine standing. I could not find, nor I have ever read that Galahad have ever had a lover or wife. All the stories agreed that he was chaste. The second part of your question, The Knights Templar were founded around 1118 by french knights, and even then, the stories about Arthur and his Knights were considered old. So no

Galahad was said to be so pure that he died once his mission came to an end.

Though he was chaste, he was loved by the Grail maiden.

As for the Templars, I don't know.

You associate PURE with CHASTE.PURE could be in reference to desire, motive, intent, logic, and so on.The Grail attainment, for him, could be that he figured out that he was gay.The Holy Grail could be awake in a dream or out of body consciousness. He might have determined that they were awake in a dream frequently but that they didn't realize it.When they had sex and remembered the monsters disappeared.
