no support for your arches, also your toes & foot are exposed, thereby making them prone to injury.

They provide no support for you arches. If only worn every once in a while there shouldn't be a problem. If you wear them all the time it's possible they could cause a long term problem.

flip flops have no sole support. you need the support for your feet.

because they are not holding the foot in place, are not absorbing shocks, and actually require continuous effort to keep them in place.
