The best Honda for a first car would definately be a Civic. Probably a 1992-1995 Civic. Awesome gas mileage, somewhat peppy, lots of tuning applications, and a perfect starter car. Also look into the Acura Integra. A 1992-1999 (Year range diff.?) Acura Integra (DC2) is a very nice peppy car that is very dependable and quite affordable. ALSO, Acura is a subdivision of Honda, so you know it's a good, long lasting vehicle. My 1993 2 door Honda (EJ) Civic gets 34 MPG City, and 40 MPG Highway! Now, my car has some real money into it, and I don't drive to save gas mileage...I drive to THRILL. But anyways, this car is my first car, it's got 184,000 miles on it, and it hasn't caused any problems yet.

The all new Honda Fit is the perfect car. You can have this 5 passenger car for about $14,000. It drives and looks better than the Toyota Yaris and the Nissan Versa. It is also one of the most reliable cars Honda has ever made. The fuel economy for the Fit is rated at 31 city and 37 hwy mpg.

The new Honda Fit is the smallest Honda u can get. For a first car I would say get something used. Toyota Corrollas are pretty good
.......and don't believe all the hype about Civics, they're not as good as they used to be.

If you go Honda, try the civic or even the accord. Better yet, try a toyota corola. Both makes/models last as long as you keep up with the maintenance.

a CIVIC any year from 1988 - 1997. for right now they are the cheapest to purchase and easy to hook up for speed at least that is what my mechanic said when he saw my lastest whip a 1991 Honda CIVIC. I got mine for a song and dance number ($1200) how could you beat that.
