Its part of the vehicle identification number or chassis number look on the right hand side of your windscreen.Any BMW dealer ship can then identify,Regards MIck

Open the hood and there should be a sticker on the strut tower (the two basketball sized hump above the wheels) that tells you the name of the color. Be advised that the name would be in German, so it'll seem wierd.
