Whatever the mind is, it is mediated by the brain, since damage to the brain modifies or limits what the mind can do. One has to assume that when the brain is gone, the mind is gone also.

Brain and mind as different?When I read a book out loud you hear me with your ears as I voice with my vocal mechanism.When I read a book to myself in my mind I hear my thoughts!
