I really really wanna be a model!!! But I'm kinda short! And it is a hard thing to get into the industry with my height!! but I really really wanna be a model!!!

There are different kinds of modeling so don't worry about your heighth! There is no need to feel discriminated as I once did when I got turned down at the heighth of 5'2" many years ago during a modeling tryout. Just pick yourself up and move along as I did. Focus more on facial modeling as for companies like Mary Kay and Mabeline. Or maybe for haircare products like Revlon or Nice and Easy. You could even model something like shoes for Nine West or Reebok. Models are not all about runways, beauty, big breasts and long legs. Those models go through more trouble than it is worth from behind the scenes no matter how superficially attractive or populare they may seem. God gave us an inner beauty that well exceeds that of our exterior side. Use that to your advantage. A good attitude, a great smile and simply enjoying life is more important than anything else when it comes to modeling. It doesn't take fame and fortune of shallow lifestyles and opinions to make a woman a great model. God made us individuals for a reason! Just remember that and say your prayers and you will be amazed at what opportunities may come your way. Whatever you do though, be careful, it is a wild world out there! You go girl!

I have heard a lot of bad thing about SOME (not all) modelling agencies and how they make you pay for photos and photo sessions before they take you on then never give you any work. My advise to you is if you have a friend who is reasonable with a camera (do not have to be a professional) Just take 100 photos of yourself in different poses, clothing and backgrounds then pick out 10-20 nice photos. You can then use this as a portfolio, and even better instead of printing them which cost you money every time, host them on a website and get some business cards print with the website address on and just hand these out instead. This is a far cheaper way of doing it and with no RISK.
However if you would like a personal portfolio site please contact me and I will set you on up for free. I can design you a fully personalised flash website with as much or little information and then host it for you. This site can contain a gallery of your photos, personal information, list of work, contact details, etc or if you prefer just a couple of photos and nothing else. It can be password protected and all images will be protected as is humanly possible, or the photos can be available to download.
Examples of work can be provided on request. Just message me here if you want, I am a professional website designer but have lots of free time (and enough money) so I am currently doing free sites for small bands, small artist etc, basically anyone who could not afford them otherwise. I was a model 11 years ago and I am 5'5.
Getting in was not easy it took a good year, but I have a very exotic look and Guess Jeans picked me up.
The only thing that would be VERY hard at your height is runway work.
Send pictures of yourself to ALL legitamite agencies .NYC , Chicago , LA etc.
They know right away if you have a little extra to overcome the height.If you have the time and $ instead of sending your pictures in just make "go see" appts and meet them in person.I lived in NYC so it was easy for me to start there.
But yes if you have a little extra something in your looks your height will not matter.

you really have to be 5'7" to be a model. don't give up. you can still be in the modeling industry, but you can do acting, be a commercial model for commercials, teen magazines, or clothing ad models like target and Kmart. just because you short does not mean anything. I'm 5'1"1/2 and i have done modeling for gap and baby phat. you could also try going to them modeling scout agencies that come to your hometown. that's what i did and look where it got me.

Maybe you have a beautiful face and can consider being a model for cosmetics or you can be a model for petite fashions.
But just like the others say, find something to make up for your height. Good luck and I hope you find something:)

Well No matter How short You are dont give up!! Just find a modeling agency that will accept your height!! If you have somthing extra and you are very pretty then most likely they will want to have you in their modeling agency! Dont give up!!!

Even if you are short, there are many of modeling opportunities for you as a matter of fact you can sign up for free to be the next MsUSAonline and if you win you will get big exposure in nationwide magazine.

Maybe consider becoming a porn star, all you need is a big tittie job and the ability to swallow anything but models are models because they are tall and you are not so porn is the best option for you that is unless you are ugly too which you probably are.

well it depends how old u r because if ur 18 at 5'4 it will really be hard for u but maybe u can model shoes or make up products there are other options visit seventeen.com they usually help girls with modeling
