Best way to find out.
Get like a filter (like for coffee) dot some blue ink, felt tip pen or what ever blue ink, dip the dots in water for a short time. The water will seep into the filter and the colour components of the blue will appear. If it stays blue, than it's just blue

Blue is a color. You are cleaver enough to know how to bring ruin to analytical judgment. You are basically asking What color is color? Color is all color, thus, all colors are a kind of blue, and blue is a form of color. But blueness is probably not a color in and of itself.

"The visible blue light has a wavelength of about 475 nm (nanometers). Because the blue wavelengths are shorter in the visible spectrum, they are scattered more efficiently by the molecules in the atmosphere. This causes the sky to appear blue."

Actually blue can be red, it could be yellow or magenta. It's what you're taught. If I told you that your telephone was actually a chicken wing, you wouldn't believe me, but it could be. If you were taught at an early age that what others think is a telephone is actually a chicken wing, then everytime the chicken wing rings you pick it up and answer it!
Have a great day!

Blue, yellow and red are primary colors. This means there is no answer to your question. Blue is blue, red is red, and yellow yellow.
Green, orange and purle are secondary colors - blue+green, red+yellow, blue+red.
