Can I find something on the computer that would give me evidence of this that he might not know how to erase or delete? Is there something in the registry of some windows systems files that might leave a trail? Thanks!!

The suggestion to put the computer in a common room is a good one.

If you want to see where he is going, you can find it in his index.dat files. You can find some by searching for "index.dat file reader windows xp" *Always* do a virus scan before installing any programs.

You can also get key loggers, etc. There are also programs that allow you to find his IM passwords. MSPass is one, but look out for the Trojan version of it.

Just look at the history of visited web pages in Internet Explorer and also see if he's installed any other web browsers. The history should save for 20 days by default, so look through the visited web sites. If he's been looking at the wrong kind of stuff you'll either see it listed there or if he's deleting the history then you'll see no webpages listed in the history list of websites visited. You should have an honest discussion with him about love and sex and show him proper etiquette for the situations he will face in life. Let him know that porno is deviant and illegal on the internet. It could wind him up in juvinile hall if the internet catches him and the DA decides to prosecute.

Yes. You can try installing a keylogger and also a parental filter. These work great together as they record everything typed and every website visited. The top programs I use and trust most are the following:

http://www.free-keylogger.com/
http://www.k9webprotection.com/

Once installed these programs will run in the background virtually unnoticed. Also, keep in mind that some virus scanners may pick up the keylogger as a virus. Don't be alarmed. Some viruses function like keyloggers. The keylogger I'm recommending to you is 100% safe.

I hope this helps!

YES, there are many ways you can find and track him..
First the easy way,
Check your document & settings and see if any photo from the internet has been download.

The other way is to go on:

*Control Panel
* Then go on "Network and Internet connections"
* then click on "Internet Options"
* then click on "Settings"
* then click on "View Files"
let those cookies open cause since is many links, pictures and other things, it might take a couple of seconds to open. There you can search for all the links your son had enter, or anyone in your home.

No matter how much he hide, everything is shown in here.

GOOD LUCK

Look in the "Cookie" folder, located somewhere under C:\documents and settings. He might not have erased the cookies. Look in the Temporary Internet files folder, My recent documents, and My Pictures

search for folders called content.ie5. Sub-folders inside these may contain files, pictures, etc. that he has not erased. If he's using a "wipe" program to cover his tracks, then you need to install a keylogging or other type of program to record his activity secretly. Then wiping his tracks won't do any good.

That depends on how well he knows how to cover his tracks. Your best bet if you want to find out for sure is to buy some tracking software and install it when he isn't there.
There are many to choose from, check at Best Buy.
