I think it's pretty obvious that no sit-com that's actually funny needs a laugh track. This goes for everyone, even you. Also, I believe I can pretty much prove it as follows:
Think back. Think of the last several comedy *movies* you went to -- did they have laugh tracks? Probably not even one of them. Same with plays. Yet you probably thought they were funny and enjoyed them.
It's not that you need a laugh track to enjoy comedies. It's that you're used to them.
From your question, you almost have to be talking about television shows. And yes, it's tough to find a good American sit-com nowadays. Though I have to say things are better now than they were in the 80's and early 90's.

Yes, I don't need to be told when to laugh. Do you enjoy movie comedies? They don't have laugh tracks.

the laugh tracks are horrible at times. I'd rather not have them at all. Sometimes its not funny, and when the laugh tracks do come in, your like "that was to be funny?" So for me, its better to keep them off

I love them without them because laugh tracks draw too much attention to the joke and ruin it. Plus they're used to boost up the audience of un-funny and unpopular shows. Background music sometimes helps point it out more subtly and better.

I find the laugh tracks essential for most so-called comedies today. However I just watched "My name is Earl" and loved it. you should check it out; no laugh tracks and hilarious.

Yes, I can. I don't like all that much, anyway. Kinda feels like they're pressuring me to find it funny...
Maybe you're watching the wrong shows? There aren't all that many good comedies on anymore.
