(Can anyone explain to me why there is a black history month and thats ok but if we as whites have a white history month it would be racism or suppremecy?) cut and pasted from Reverse Rascism..... Not only that but Isn't there also a gay pride week?? In the same week of the Summer Solstice June 21, which by the way is Aboriginal day here in Canada.. So I guess my real question is Why can Blacks have a month, the Gays and Lesbians have a week and the Original People of this land get ONE DAY???

The original people of this land are not whites/Europeans.

Every day in History class is focused on how the "American History". Learning about the white presidents, and the development of the country.

I just flipped thru what the average school history book looks like.

1 chapter was devoted to slavery and black history out of 26 chapters.

Based on your question you already learned about White's history how they want they want control, fame and center of attention.
Your acting like a spoiled brat because you want all the days to be about whites.

Ok first of all. Get over yourself. They have black history month to honor the black people in history and make it more available to learn about their culture. It's 1 month. We basically have the rest of the year! you already learn everything about our culture all year long. That's what your history books are all about! Same thing with BET. It shows things that they enjoy and are important to them. All the rest of the channels are predominately white. I'm not so sure what the Gay Pride thing is about... that seems a little pointless to me... but still, you really need to get off it...

Fist of the ORIGINAL PEOPLE do get days but we white bastards didn't recognize them because then we might have to feel bad about the genocide we performed on them just a little over 100 years ago.

Second what do you think Chrismas, Easter, Thanksgiving, etc are about? What do you think people talk about on there 1 day a year. Probably those days that we actually get off but they do not because we didn't recognize Jewish/Black/any one but whiteys days.

Also there is a problem with the term "Reverse Racism" last time I checked racism to most means lynchings and cross burnings. Some claim it in every aspect of their lives but so what. You didn't care to look do you because it didn't happen to you or yours. So pals post if you have any impressive things that have happened to whitey on your watch (NOT INCLUDING THINGS RESOLVED OR ATTEMPTED TO BE RESOLVED BY THE GOVERNMENT BECAUSE AS U MAY OR MAY NOT RECALL THEY DIDN'T GIVE A DAM ABOUT MINORITY'S FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS OF ABUSE.)

So if now you have to deal with listening about what black people have done in history and the what not didn't ***** to me. They dint teach me any of that in school like they taught me about every white man (even if the white man stole a black mans idea and every one knew but they never gave the black man credit till years latter and then only to say that he assisted.... White hetrosexuals are the superior class. I don't mean geneticaly, I mean they have the positions of most power in politics and goverment. The people that do not have that power want to form a unified front so they can make inroads into the power structure. I do not agree with it. I see the weakness in a logic of seperation. It is a poor idea, but it is one that they are going to stay with. Fifty years of failure is no reason not to keep trying, just look at the school lunch program.

Calm down buddy. Here's the deal. In countries like the US and Canada, we have to keep minorites happy. This means giving them months and weeks and parades so they can feel like its okay and not shameful to be as they are. Now the reason why the rest of us don't get a special time, is because to do that, we'd make them feel like their time wasn't really special anymore. So if you're proud to be a stright caucasian person, thats fantastic, just don't expect a week for everyone like you. Take comfort in the fact that, there's a lot more of you then there are of them.

if you're attempting to make a level, then a minimum of arise with a superb state of affairs. the only you describe is clearly an officer wondering you've been being lazy at a job, not that you've been lazy because you've been black! quit utilising the racism card, its been utilized through too many human beings for inappropriate issues and persons do not have self belief it anymore. If agencies are pessimistic at the same time as the racism card is used, part of the blame has to come back from the ethnic minorities themselves because of its over use.

To answer your question: Being that "white" is the majority, every day is white history month. Most of the people we learn about in school are white, almost all the tv shows and movies are about white people and almost all of our elected officials are white. So to honor our minorities in this country we have specials days and months to celebrate their accomplishments.

FYI: We are not the original people in this "land".

Petition for legislation for a week or a month's recognition for the "Original People" if you feel that strongly about it. Change doesn't come about from complaining and not taking any action to correct it. The very people you spoke on; blacks, gays & lesbians, etc. got off their butts and lobbied for their week or month. Now, why would you begrudge any race for their week or month's recognition? The remaining months of the year aren't enough for you?

i know, why can't everybody just be equal, its just a way that people have to keep separating themselves from everybody else but then say that there just the same as everybody else? and everyday is not about white history, is there a daily historical white person mentioned on the radio or tv? hell no, and have you looked at history books in school these days? there are tons of chapters just about black people, so its crap when this guy says that they are all about white people, guess he hasn't stuck his nose into a history book for awhile

I celebrate "Straight White Southern Male Pride Week", every week. I need more than just one week or one month and I don't need someone to put it on a calendar so I'll remember. The Original People should tell your govt, "No thanks" and celebrate OP Day, every day.
