Why are members of the human race submissive to physically good looking human beings?

People are primarily motivated by their senses, and the eye is one of the most powerful senses. So a good looking human being attracts more attention from others, since he/she is pleasing to the eye.

People also tend to unconsciously believe that a person who looks good must also have good qualities, and that he/she deserves greater respect.

This is an instinctive natural reaction, and people may behave submissively to those having looks, but sooner or later, the very same people realize that while good looks help initially, personality and character are what counts most in the long run. Thank God for that!

Because it is a part of our innate psychology to be attracted to our perception of what is a physically beautiful person, in order to gain sexual favors or attention to make one feel "better". But often what is innate is foolish, because it leads to failure. Many people marry people for their looks and not their mind and end up going through a terrible divorce and the children have life-long mental damage and are afraid of getting married. It's actually a part of the culture to like what looks or feels good rather than being wiser and liking only what actually is good, I think it is because of the capitalist consumerist culture that causes the obsessive compulive disorder that leads people to impulsively like what feels, looks, and tastes good leading to over-eating, gambling to get more money, stealing to get money to buy more things to make them happy, rather than realizing that we don't need material things to make us happy, and if we do, it is proven to lead to misery.

Because it's a good stimulus, a positive stimulus, so of course we tend to respond to something that is good. And the sense of sight reaches great distance, even before our sense of smell picks up the good scent of that good looking person, to which we are also bound to respond:p

Psychologically speaking beautiful people are considered to be more intellegent, healthier and trustworthy then less or average beatuy people. In addition someone who is beatuiful usually has a higher self-esteem then someone who is not and will appear to be in more control.
