It would be useful to know 1) what kind of computer you're using, 2) what your operating system is, 3) what software you are using to talk to people and what version it is is, and 4) whether you have an internal or external microphone. Without this information, it is hard to diagnose, and hard to suggest a solution. 90 % of the time u connect your mic on the wrong place in your computer. Check where that goes and them make sure that all the volume is TURM UP...

Try resetting the microphone wizard - it might have the volume so low they can't hear you.
If that's not it, make sure everything is securely plugged in (not just the microphone's cord).
If it still doesn't work, your microphone is shot.

first make sure you have a mic then check if mic is not in mute then pump up the mic volume this should do it

some thing is wrong with you microhphone. most computers have 3 places to plug 2.5mm things in. use the other one (not the one your speakers are plugged into). make sure you have selected your microhpone, and not the modem.

ok a possible answer to your dilima is that on your volume controls, the microphone is turned off. preventing them from hearing you.

double click on the speaker icon on your tray and see that all the volume controls are on.
