It all depends on which Ipod you want. The Ipod nano is $199 and the Ipod Shuffle is $99 while the Ipod 30GB is $199 and the Ipod 60GB is $299.

Ipod shuffle is the cheapest Ipod in the market its for $100..
Others range from $150 - $600...
I have a sony mp3 and it has never given me any problems...
