I've heard rumors of a "Logan's Run" remake. They say they want Leonardo Dicaprio as lead character. How do you think it will turn out?

Oh My, I just answered the question what was the worst movie they could remake now and I said, Logan's Run....Leo would be great because he can make a movie seem more intense than it is! I think Logan's Run would be a great remake now because of the advances with special effects and our society's worshipping of youth. If a great director and Leo are on board then the only thing stopping them from making a blockbuster is marketing. I think it will be a decent movie but, overhyped. Ala The Beach.

I merely were given executed seeing the unique action picture with Michael York and Jenny Agutter about a 0.5 hour in the past, June 23, 2006( the precise thirtieth anni- versary of the movie's unique launch date). i imagine it really is beautiful how the international round us has replaced a lot in only this variety of jiffy span. as an celebration, with human beings residing longer and center agers having maximum the money some- the position between 40-50 is transforming into the hot 30 ( I talked about a piece of writing on the at present teach how the beauty market is starting up to objective extra mid- dle elderly women human beings). also, i talked about with the hun- dreds of extras I did'nt spot a unmarried minority team member, which could'nt be politically cor- rect in recent times. finally i talked about there turned right into a teenage gang chief who approached Logan with not some thing yet a spike, in recent times, in case you got here after someone armed with not some thing more beneficial than that you will be fortunate in case you purchased 3 steps beforehand you purchased riddled with bullets ( it amazes me to no end how the international regarded a lot extra harmless merely 30-40 years in the past). in short, i imagine the PLOT to Logan's Run changed into wonderful; yet a remake may should be a lot extra reflective of at present's values to be a large container workplace hit.

I wish they would stop re-making old movies and come up with some original ideas - besides - that movie The Island was Logan's Run-ish - same type of concept I thought - not a total remake for once. All movies now seem to be sequels, remakes or from old TV shows.....sigh. :(

With today's sci-fi whiz-bang studio special effects, the Logan's Run redux project sounds interesting. Espicially if they can get the original cast to do some cameo appearances.

Could be good, or it could suck.

Why did they change the age of mandatory death to 21? Wasnt it 30 in the original?
