No, Country music is the only honest music out there. I listen to all kinds of music. I like country because it comes from the heart. I like some rap and I love r&b. but country is my roots. country doesn't talk about drive-bys and bitches and hos. It gets kinda old . and I know people will say all country songs say I got drunk , beat my ol'lady ride in my truck so on and so on . but I don't think that. It is just true all around good music and I can listen to it with my kids in the room. so no I think Rapp is way overproduced and dumbed down music of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No I think some of the songs are wonderful and talk of many different subjects listen to the words and what is being sung.
I like Country music some not all and there are artist that I would go see, in concert. Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, just to name a couple. Many of the songs are patriotic as well. Like the guy who sings "I love the USA"

This would be an opinion answer so no. That would be rap. Country may talk about stupid things such as hound dogs and getting drunk but at least we have good moral views on the world. No, the dumbest genre would have to be rap/hiphop where no meaningful message at all exists.

personnaly i dont think anyone has the right to say what genre of music is bad or good because just as you may not like country music someone is going to disagree and say they like it..why do you have to constantly bring down whhat someone else likes or enjoys and boost up yor specific pick who xares what country music lovers do with their music its their genre if u dont like it shut up and leave em alone...jeez stop being so immature

Sure is! If you want the real thing listen to Merle Haggard or Buck Owens, or my personal favorite, Gram Parsons.

Not at all, that would be rap and/or hip hop.
But maybe rap isn't "dumbed down" because there was nothing of intelligence to dumb down in the first place.

Wow...You must not have listened to any Rap lately.
At least Country musicians have enough imagination to sing about something besides sex, drugs and violence.
