The situation occurs when two foetuses exist in the uterus after eggs have been fertilised at different times.

It is an extremely rare and potentially dangerous condition, doctors say.

A double pregnancy is when a woman either (a), has 2 eggs implant that are from two seperate ovulations- within a day or two of each other, or (b) the woman has a rare condition where she has either 2 seperate uterus' (only heard of this once), or a devided uterus and an egg implants in both sides. It is very, very, very uncommon and usually either one or both of the fetus's don't survive.

A double pregnancy is where one is already pregnant and becomes pregnant again. It happens because one does not stop ovulating during pregnancy or is said to happen with a double uterus. Whether it is actually possible or not, I haven't the foggiest.

It sounds like you have (identical) Twin Transfusion Syndrome, when the cord gives one baby a bigger share of nutrients, stunting the other (smaller) baby's growth. If it is you can have it fixed with a laser procedure, it sounds like you've met the differential criteria, though it is pretty early to be messing around with the babies and surgery. One baby has to be a lot bigger than the other because it's a dangerous procedure; you could lose the one baby and possibly both, but it's the only chance you've got for the smaller one. If the situation is left unaltered, you could possibily see the weights even out, but more likely that you'd lose the smaller baby which could affect the other baby. Definitely talk with your doctor and you'll likely have to come in more often to monitor the situation. I hope this helps you understand my analysis of your situation. God bless you and your babies, I hope they are born healthy.

Well, from this article that I found, it is where a woman who is already pregnant conceives more babies during the pregnancy. Which I thought was impossible...lol. There was this woman who claimed it happened to her, and the second set of babies was supposed to be due three months after the one that got concieved first. They proved she was a fraud. Here is the article.
