thanks all you guys for your answers, i add some more info,
this seems to accur only in the late afternoon, if i go on arround 3pm to 5.30pm , when you re click to connect, i mostly get straight back on, only to be cut off 2 - 3 mins later.

i live in south gloucestershire

Because you need a new router.same as ours!!

do a line test take the front of your master phone socket then plug your router or modem in to the space behind the face that you have just removed . if you still have problems its probably an external line fault .if this solves your problem ypu have an internal problem check lines and filters. i had the same problem it turned out to be external bt fixed it free of charge

i had the same problem!! we finally got it fixed. first check and see if your outlet can provide the power your router needs. then get your CABLE tech to come look @ it. they'll find the problem-- they did with ours @ least, and we had this issue for over a year. if that doesn't work, maybe you do need a new router, but most of time, its because your signal will drop because they provided you with the wrong modem and didn't realize it. i hope that kind of helped.

it may have to do with the weather. i dont know where you live, but we are getting torrential rain here in the south, and i am having the same problem

install line filters on all of your phone lines.
