Today i was surfing through the official site for WC....guess who were the 6 final nominees for best young players ? C.Ronaldo, Podoloski, Valencia, Messi, Fabregas, Barnetta.....no Rooney !!!
Personally I'm no fan of Ronaldo but I hate it how the English are making a scrapegoat out of him to cover up their failures..
The other day i was going through the site of THe Sun , they made an appeal to the people to punish "winker Ron" by voting him out, by voting Rooney in....guess not enough people fell for the fact that Rooney played well !!!!!
Despite all the unfair barracking Ronaldo got most votes.
How do you like that ?? Fair isnt it ??

As an English fan, not too bothered about Rooney being the best young player in the World Cup. Podoloski,Ronaldo and Valencia should win. It is how they played in the World Cup, Messi and Rooney cannot be said to have had a good World Cup.

Why should he be reported? He's right! Why are they booing Ronaldo? There was no need for that! So many topics here about Portugal being sore loosers but I haven't seen anything besides Portuguese fans defending their country. I haven't seen any topics (so far) about the French cheating or being underserving! You people need to realize that just because Portugal might have beat your country in the World Cup that does not make them cheats or sour winners or even sore loosers. We all have pride in our own countries and when I see someone from Portugal bad mouthing another country (ex: France) I will tell them to stop. There is no need for all of this!
If C. Ronaldo wins best player it is because it is well deserved! End of story!

Regardless of anything sore loosers say, Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best players in the World and he will be the best soon.
I just hope Ronaldo accepts the Real Madrid offer and leaves for Spain!
To all English football fans, imagine the Premiership without all the foreign players. What a disgrace!!!

Im delighted that that every single French fan at the semi-final whistled and baracked Ronaldo after he tried to con the referree by pretnding he was pushed in the penalty area. He is a very talented player, but his attitude stinks..he dives, he cheats, he whines to the referee, he behaves a like a spoilt child...and he hates it if someone does the same to him.
He wasn't directly responsible for Rooney's sending-off in the quarter-final, but he was first to encourage the ref to show the red card..and that is just SO low.

Hmmm....could be due to the fact that Rooney had a broken foot prior to the world cup and wasn't fully fit during the World Cup. So get your facts straight moron. Difference between Rooney and Ronaldo....Rooney wouldn't cry if he broke a nail on his finger or if his mascara ran....

I think the kid only uses the name "Ronaldo" to enjoy the marketing already made on this name. His first name is Cristiano isn't it? Why they don't call him that? Marketing surely is a part of every players life nowadays....
