The UN wasn't against us going to war in Iraq. They were against the timing and reasoning of the war. They wanted more diplomacy. I can't say I blame them. However, I do think the big SH needed to be removed and the U.S. set their phasers to diplomacy to accomplish that task.

They aren't talking about war with N. Korea. They are talking about sanctions and about how to prevent war. Japan is pissed, and can you blame them? Kim Jong Ill has shown no regard for his neighbors and has opening dared them to go to war. If Japan had an offensive military, this would be an entirely different scenerio. We would be trying to figure out how to keep China from attacking Japan.

Something to remember when worrying about war with N. Korea. Their alliance with China creates a situation where China is bound to help defend them. Do you think any country in the world wants to go to war with China? The U.S. is the only country with a chance, and that kind of war would pretty much destroy the planet.

The 17 UN resolutions against Iraq were very clear: comply or face military action. However, Security Council members China, France, and Germany were bought off by Saddam Hussein to vote "no" on declaring war. Otherwise, the entire UN would have been involved in removing Saddam.

The UN can't be as cavalier regarding North Korea. The threat is much clearer, and the insane little midget running that country is clearly unhinged. It's gonna take more than a couple sessions on the psychologist's couch or a bottle of Viagra to fix the mind of that ugly, evil little munchkin.

For starters, not everyone was against the War in Iraq. The only ones that were very opposed were the ones that were bilking millions upon million with the Oil for Food scandal. So why ruin a good thing? Wake up and smell the graft.

The whole world is worried about what is happening in N. Korea. It's not a matter of taking "W" seriously or not....they can see for themselves what's happening. Iraq and Korea are totally seperate issues.

I don't think W is taking N Korea seriously in the first place. We aren't going to do anything at all about N Korea except talk and maybe some sanctions. If China will allow that to happen.....

That is because America does not want to go to war with Korea. The UN always treads on America, they always tend to take the opposing side.

The UN wasn't "completely" against the war in Iraq, and those who were most against it are the ones who had the biggest stake in oil contracts with Saddam. Is it just me or are the liberals getting dumber by they year? I mean hyperbole is one thing, but I think they actually believe their own bile.

The UN is watching North Korea very closely. But you can totally see why they are a little iffy about the situation. We aren't backing up our government so how could they trust we would back them up? The best thing to do is to make sure that they know we will back up our government and their decisions.

The problem with the UN is Russia and China who are permanent members and veto members. W is urging the UN for sanctions on North Korea, but Russia and China want diplomacy. (Shaking fist at Russia and China)
