An adjective describes a noun, and a pronoun is a short form of a noun. Popular pronouns are: I, you, he, she, it, we, and they. The following sentence, "The truck is green", has truck as the noun and green as the adjective. You can replace the truck with it, so the sentence reads "It is green" with it being the pronoun and green still the adjective.
