There are all kinds of bugs that get in there! Including, bees, flies, nats, water bugs, all kind of bugs! I skim the top for what seems like forever, then 30 minutes later, it looks the same! HELP!

Hi!

We had the same type pool and found that we had to skim it all the time too. We did purchase a pool pump that was twice as powerful as the one that comes with it and that really helped.

Make sure you are checking the "screen" that covers the vacuum hole too. Once bugs accumulate on that, your pump works less efficiently.

We placed one of those giant umbrellas next to the pool that we could swing out over it when needed and it helped divert the bugs a little. You might try lighting citronella candles or having a bug zapper near the pool too.

We loved our pool until we split the side open cleaning it a little too vigorously with the pool vacuum!

Try keeping the cover on it when not in use. It is a very hard job to keep those pools clean. I have given up on them. Every bug there is is attracted to it...lol...good luck!

I went out and bought a 10$ tarp to put over it. No bugs.. no nothing.
